J'ai constaté qu'une très grande branche des Lachance était manquante... Je trouve cela dommage que vous nous ayez oublié et ce que je trouve encore pire c'est le fait que vous accordez beaucoup d'importance aux Lachance anglais. Vous ne devriez pas, nous sommes Francais et Québécois, pas des minables anglais. Il y a des Lachance, qui en tant que patriotes, ce sont battus contre ces têtes carrés pour défendre le Québec et nous devrions être fiers d'eux. À mort les anglais et longue vie aux Lachance francophones.

My husband, Andre, is descending from Pepin-dit-Lachance of Ile D'Orleans, P Q. We attended a reunion there in the '80's and were told that Pepin's four sons changed their names in the new world to become Lachance, Laforte, Lacharite and Lafortune, so these families are definitely intertwined.
