I was born in 1945 in Milan, Cte Frontenac, PQ. My father was Gabriel Lachance, his father was Adolphe Lachance.
Im currently on Facebook as John Lachance and I'm working on my family tree. I know my father was born in either Maine or New Hampshire and move to Canada before my birth. I wish to thanks the producers of this site andhope to come back frequestly to do some research.

I am a descendant of Antoine Pepin dit Lachance through his son Ignace. My family changed their surname from Lachance to Lyshon when they moved to Maine. I am not sure if it was intentional or just a clerical error. I am enjoying looking through the information that you have. Thank you.

I have been researching my father's family in Canada, from England, which makes it harder than it could be. I have only found births, marriages & deaths from parish registers, via Ancestry and FamilySearch, so this site is a useful addition, with background information and history.

I really enjoyed looking through all this info and am very impressed at how much history has been traced! My gg grandparents were Pierre Lachance and Adele Chabot, but I wonder if their had been two sets of these as my g grandfathers' name was Joseph Amede Lachance and his name does not appear as the child of the Pierre and Adele family listed here. Any insight to this?
